Faith Academy School History

Faith Academy School of Excellence is the realization of a vision imparted by the spirit of God to Dr. Barbara M. Amos and Faith Deliverance Christian Center. That vision was to pursue and minister to children, training them in the principles of God and the practices of His Word while providing them with an exceptional academic education.

Through the tireless efforts of a qualified advisory staff, headed by the late Elder Gloria B. Collins who also served as administrator for four years, the basic academic and philosophical foundations for the school were established.

Faith Academy School of Excellence opened its doors for the first time on Tuesday, September 7, 1993, with students in grades one through eight. Many persons have contributed to the development of Faith Academy as advisors, financial contributors, teachers, and administrative staffers. Because of their efforts, the confidence of our parents, and the diligence of our students, Faith Academy stands as a model Christian School intent upon imparting a love for God and for His Word as well as a spirit of academic and personal excellence into all its students.
